Manchester maintains a small-town feel, but with city accessibility. Manchester is made up primarily of single-family homes built on wooded lots. The neighborhood also contains several drive-in style businesses.

This city has been around for more than 200 years, and continues to this day to be host to a number of businesses.  Before it was named Manchester, the neighborhood was known as “Hoardstown”. Residents nowadays can be thankful for the name upgrade that named the town after Manchester, England.

Intersecting with interstate 270 and route 141, Manchester also gives easy access to Interstate 64, and a quicker commute to downtown comparative to other west suburbs.

Manchester feels like a small town, with a Homecoming celebration, community band, and neighborhood art competitions.   

Lined with commercial businesses, the downtown remains a historic district with unique shops and boutiques. There is everything imaginable on Manchester, from bars to restaurants, a movie theater, and West County Shopping Center. Restaurants reflecting a wide array of nationalities and styles can be found throughout the area.

Manchester houses two decorated school districts, Parkway and Valley Park. Many of the schools can be found along Manchester Road.

Seibert Park | Small park with pavilion, picnic sites, and nature trail. In the very back of the park is a manmade cave once used as a brewery. 

Pierremont Pocket Park | Small park that contains pavilion, picnic sites, and a playground.
